An opportunity has arisen to work for one of the UK’s fastest growing Lettings Agency/Housing Associations covering the whole of Birmingham. Currently our client provides property lettings and management services to over 3000 Landlords within London and is now expanding into Birmingham.

Due to their rapid growth and having recently won a high profile government contract with Birmingham Council (the largest council in Europe) to supply DSS Housing to all of Birmingham, under the new “Let To Birmingham” Government Housing Scheme; our client is now seeking to recruit a team of professional and enthusiastic Property Acquisition Officers (Lettings Valuers) for their newly opened regional office located in the heart of Birmingham.

As a Property Acquisition Officer, you will be expected to source and negotiate properties making offers to Landlords to manage their properties. You will also be responsible for arranging appointments to view and access properties (so as to determine their suitability); as well as calculating the relevant rental charge and necessary renovations that may be needed to ensure that all lettings standards are met.

Candidates that are familiar with ‘Social Housing’ and the expected standards of DSS (Department of Social Security) properties and the standards required to let private properties to local authority Tenants would be greatly advantaged in their application.Candidates must have the ability to develop business relationships with Landlords to secure properties for the various lettings and property management schemes available via the company. Individuals must be highly motivated to succeed, with excellent communication skills and an ability to meet and exceed targets.
