Technical IT Engineer - Microsoft & Cisco Certified (2nd Line Support) An opportunity has arisen to work for a long established, successful and dynamic North London and City based company providing IT solutions for SME businesses. The Role This is a hands-on role so would suit someone who has a strong technical background with excellent customer facing skills and an excellent phone manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for remote and on-site assistance with existing Clients and will need to be flexible on travel arrangements. The ability to prioritise and escalate work as appropriate is essential. The ability to work under strict SLA's (Service Level Agreements) for availability and service is also essential. The Candidate We are looking for ambitious high calibre engineers who intend to move rapidly within an organisation. The right candidate would receive on-going technical training, covering the Company’s main technologies and further relevant training would be provided when appropriate. A valid clean UK driving license would be beneficial as travel to Customer sites for project and support work will be required. The candidate must have the ability to plan, implement and support solutions based on the following skill set requirements, pre-requisites and responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Experience in configuring routers, switches and firewalls with a good understanding on networks/IP and experience troubleshooting problems Microsoft experience, with good knowledge of Exchange Server and Active Directory including Group Policies and Security Permissions Supporting users remotely on various networks and dealing with clients to help resolve issues or escalate where needed Knowledge, Experience & Attributes Microsoft Certified (MCSA / MCSE) Cisco Certified (CCNP / CCNA) A good knowledge of VMware, Cisco, VPN’s, VoIP Technologies (knowledge of 3CX helpful) Knowledge of current backup technologies including Veeam and Zerto Experience of supporting Virtual Desktops / Terminal Servers and Cloud Infrastructure An intelligent person, highly self-motivated with a professional attitude and with a lot of drive Someone who is determined, a problem solver who thrives on responsibility and thinking on their feet Good communication and interpersonal skills, an effective team player and the ability to work under pressure and prioritise Strong oral English language skills are essential Valid clean UK driving license is beneficial Contract Type: Permanent Software/Product: Information Technology (IT) Location: Southgate, London Start Date: Immediate Basic Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Commission: No OTE: Bonus: No Company Benefits: Company Pension Job Requirements: Experience - Similar Role Contact: Yan Neokleous Telephone: +44 (0)20 7298 5571 E-mail: yn@chamaleon.co.uk Date Posted: 25/10/2016 Reference: ETITEC
